Who this covers

This policy covers 4devs.eu itself: the waitlist, the contact form, and the in-browser "Try it" sandbox. The extension referenced on this site doesn't exist yet, so it collects nothing.

What we collect, and why

Waitlist form: email address, GitHub username, country, city, and the tech stack you select. We use this to gauge demand by region and stack, and to email you when the extension ships. Country and city are also what let us tell sponsors "there's demand in Athens for React developers" instead of selling an undifferentiated audience.

Contact form: email, company name, country, city, your interest (recruiting, sponsorship, etc.), and an optional message. Used only to respond to you.

Language toggle: if you accept the "Accept All" cookie option, we look up your approximate location (country-level, from your IP address) via a third-party geolocation lookup, purely to guess which language to show first. If you choose "Essential Only" or haven't chosen yet, we only read your browser's language setting. Nothing about you leaves your device for this.

The "Try it" sandbox: entirely client-side. Nothing you type into it is sent anywhere or stored anywhere.

Where it's stored

Form submissions are stored in a Postgres database hosted in an EU region (Supabase, EU-West). We don't sell, rent, or share this data with third parties. It's used only to run this site and, eventually, to reach out about the extension or sponsorship.

Cookies

We set one cookie, 4devs_consent, to remember your choice in the banner (essential, and lasts 180 days). If you accept all, a second flag enables the IP-based language lookup described above. Declining doesn't break anything. The site works fully with browser-language detection only.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can ask us what we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted, fully, not just anonymized. Email hello@4devs.eu with the address you signed up with and we'll action it within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What we will never do

Everything in the "Four things this product will never do" section above applies here too. In particular, ad matching (once the extension exists) reads only your dependency manifest on your own machine, never your source code, and nothing about that process touches this website's database.

Changes to this policy

If this changes meaningfully, we'll update the date above and, if we have your email, tell you directly rather than relying on you re-reading this page.
